PEELI PICKS - HOLIDAY SEASON PARTIES
Updated: Dec 14, 2018
The festive season is always a busy one for families, friends and colleagues alike. It can be a real military operation to coordinate schedules in order to find a day and time for a quick catch up over lunch, dinner or Christmas beverages... but it is always worth it to celebrate. So, we're focussing on how to take a little time out this Christmas and join your friends, family and colleagues for a festive tipple.
Dani, our Head of Digital and Design has been working on some exciting new artwork to create unique personalised labels, enabling party hosts to pimp their prosecco with thoughtful messages, funny taglines or warming winter wishes. They are the perfect way to personalise your party without breaking the bank! It was these quirky labels that got the Peeli Team talking about our festive favourite party drinks. After much debate (and perhaps a sample or two) we’ve compiled our favourites...
Christmas isn't Christmas without a cocktail and this one has real class! This Martha Stewart special combines champagne, vodka and cranberry. Serve in an elegant glass to be in keeping with all your Christmas decor. Take a look at the full recipe here.
Hot Gin Punch
Winter warmers are a welcome addition to any occasion when the frosty weather creeps in - we love this punch as an alternative to a mulled wine or cider. It’s perfect for large groups as it can be made in one batch and served in a personalised bowl. Take a peek here.
Gain & Coombs Gin
Speaking of gin, local gin-connoisseurs Gain & Coombs are one of our 2018 favourites. They provided the taste to our summer, the countdown to our Christmas with their gin advent calendars AND, they give us a reason to spin for gin. Literally. Click here to find out more. Their blackcurrant liqueur provides the perfect base for a cheeky festive Diablo!
Though at Peeli HQ we're partial to an Irish Coffee all year round, it has an extra-special place for us at Christmas time. Let your guests enjoy an after dinner treat with a hot coffee - serve Irish Whiskey with a dash of Bailey’s and a swirl of whipped cream for a truly decadent drink.
The Classics, which we suspect feature on every party drinks lists at this wonderful time of year, are of course bubbly and mulled wine (a much-loved Christmas Markets special). Whether you can make it to the markets or not this year, one of our favourite ways to get into the Christmas spirit is with a warming mulled wine. More of a fizz fan? Take a look at how to add a little festive cheer to your champers here.
Whether it’s champagne or prosecco that fills your flutes, we hope that you enjoy this season of sparkle. Cheers,
The Peeli Crew x
