PEELI REVEAL - TOP 5 THINGS FOR KIDS IN WARWICK THIS HALLOWEEN
The Peeli Team can hardly believe that it is almost the end of October! The time has flown past since The Mayor of Warwick cut the ribbon on our store. We’re excited that Halloween is just around the corner as it’s one of our favourite holidays. If you’re passing by our Smith Street shop, please pop in to say hello and meet Geoffrey our resident skeleton.
As Halloween approaches it means that half term is also just days away so we’ve compiled our top 5 things for kids in Warwick this Halloween! With so many wonderful things happening locally it was hard to choose but we’ve tried...
1. Warwick’s Haunted Castle!
Warwick Castle is just moments away from Peeli HQ and we’re excited to see this years' exciting Halloween event. It promises to have wondrous witches, horrible histories and fearsome attractions! The Dead Centre Stage will be filled with a bunch of bizarre characters and spooky shows. Don’t miss out - check out Warwick Castle's website to find out more.
2. Fancy Dress for SCBU Special Care Baby UniT
Fancy dress and crazy costumes is one of the greatest things about Halloween - if you can participate and also help a local charity, we think it’s even better. Lucy Field and Nicki Scott have been hosting charity events throughout the year to raise money for Warwick’s Special Care Baby Unit. Though they have already raised over £20,000 they have a series of other events including a Halloween Party at Chase Meadows Community Centre on October 28th.
There will be lots to see and do with prizes for best Halloween fancy dress, a pinata, a spooky dance moves session, soft play and bouncy castle! It’s £2 entry per child with all profits going to SCBU. Full details are available here.
3. Arty Tots Spooktacular at Market Hall Museum
On Tuesday 30th October, Warwick's Market Hall Museum is hosting an arty extravaganza for children under 5. The kids will have a chance to get crafty making witches, mummies and Halloween wreaths. The Peeli team love all things creative so are excited to see what the youngsters create! For you parents (of course), there’s great coffee and delicious cakes available from Oken’s Kitchen based in the Market Hall Museum Coffee Shop.
4. Pumpkin Picking
There are pumpkins galore available in the local shops, but picking your own pumpkin from a farm is lots of fun and a great way to spend time with your family. Hatton Adventure World is holding a Pumpkin Spooktacular from October 25 to October 31. It will be awash with ghosts, ghouls, cobwebs and pumpkins this Halloween. There’s lots to for all the family including pumpkin picking, the Halloween Marquee and cool carvings.
5. Halloween At Home
After a busy day pumpkin picking, we think a crafty evening carving pumpkins and preparing for a Halloween is the best way to get ready for Trick or Treating. Whether the kids are designing costumes or decorations for your front door getting crafty and having fun is most important. Here’s some great ideas that we just love.
We’ve created a special edition range of Peeli’s that are perfect for doors, floors and mirrors to ensure that your house is spooktacular. And best of all, our Peeli decals are reusable, eco friendly and fully customisable so you and the little ones can transform your home into your own haunted house!
If you’re in Warwick on Halloween, we will have special treats in store for anyone that pops by in fancy dress. Be sure to share your Halloween creations and costumes with us on Facebook and Instagram - we'd love to see what you've made.
